A Step-by-Step Guide on connecting to Eduroam at Metropolitan International University

We’re excited to share with you a step-by-step guide on how to connect to the Eduroam network at Metropolitan International University (MIU). Eduroam provides you with seamless and secure access to wireless network services not only at MIU but also at other participating institutions globally.

Instructions for Connecting to Eduroam at MIU:

For Android Devices:

1. Go to Settings: Ensure that your Wi-Fi service is set to On.
2. Select Wi-Fi: Look for the wireless network named “eduroam.”
3. Enter the following details:
   • Network: eduroam
   • EAP Method: TTLS
   • Phase 2 Authentication: PAP
   • CA Certificate: Unspecified or Do not validate (For Android 10 and up, run JoinNow, and select the eduroam certificate.)
   • Identity: Your MIU University Email (Example: your_email@miu.ac.ug)
   • Anonymous Identity: Leave this field blank
   • Wireless Password: Your MIU University Email Password
4. Select Connect: Confirm your entered details and connect to the eduroam network.

Note: If your device was previously connected to another MIU wireless network, make sure to forget that network before attempting to connect to eduroam.
