Eduroam, short for “education roaming,” is a global initiative that provides seamless and secure internet access to the academic community. At MIU, we are proud to be part of this network, offering our staff and students the opportunity to connect to wireless network services not only within our campus but also at other participating institutions worldwide.
What is Eduroam?
Eduroam is a secure, worldwide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. It allows users from participating institutions to obtain internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other member institutions. The service is not limited to MIU but extends globally, creating a connected community of learners, researchers, and educators.
Connecting to Eduroam at MIU
Connecting to Eduroam at MIU is a straightforward process. Follow these steps based on your device:
For Android Devices:
- Go to Settings and select Wi-Fi, ensuring that Wi-Fi is set to On.
- Select the wireless network named “eduroam.”
- Enter the required details, including your MIU University Email and Password.
- Select Connect.
